Cardiff chairman Dalman insists Solskjaer safe long-term

Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman insists manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is safe - even if they go down.

Solskjaer is still waiting for his first point as manager of the troubled Welsh club, after losing his first two league games in charge.

Dalman said: "There's a long-term plan from my perspective. I would have no interest going after Solskjaer for the short-term. So I hope to build with him a long term future here.

"What I really saw in him was the style of football. I know when he played that he played a particular style but if you look what he has actually done in Norway, that style of football is very impressive.

"Secondly, he is a very ambitious young man. He wants to make it to the very top of his profession. And he would see this as a very good stepping stone to getting there. Over the next five years, I think you will see a lot of Solskjaer and this is a great place for him to build his credibility."
