Cardiff City caretaker boss David Kerslake does not know who will replace Malky Mackay as manager or when an appointment will be made. "They are going to have to have somebody with a big personality," said the former Tottenham defender.
When asked if he was aware of any developments in the club's search for a new manager, he said: "I have been told to take temporary charge of the team and that's the only thing that I know... I am absolutely in the dark on that situation."
Kerslake will be in charge for the New Year's Day Premier League match at leaders Arsenal and is willing to continue in the role for as long as he is needed.
"I'm prepared to take the reins beyond Arsenal," he said.
"Malky's left big boots to fill but I'm sure the owner and board of directors will select the right man."
