Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay can't say if owner Vincent Tan is trying to force him out.
There is a belief Tan wants to replace Mackay with a global name.
Mackay told the Daily Mail: "I can't control that [Tan's thoughts],' he said, without blinking.
"I can control what I am doing myself and that's all. This job is three-quarters done. We have been to a League Cup final and played in the Premier League for the first time.
"We are competing now at a good level. I can control that.
"What is the point of over-thinking the other stuff? I can't change it can I? What happened to Iain was a great shame but I have to make sure it impacts as little as possible.
"As for the other thing [quitting], honestly, no, I never considered it."
