Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay is set for showdown talks with owner Vincent Tan.
The Daily Mail says Mackay will hold face-to-face talks with Cardiff City owner Tan at the end of the week in an effort to finally resolve his future one way or the other.
The Scot gave his most honest public account of the ongoing debacle at his club and admitted he feared the sack after losing 3-1 at Liverpool on Saturday.
He was issued a temporary reprieve after the intervention of chairman Mehmet Dalman, but the rigidity of the truce is still in major doubt, not least because Mackay revealed Tan has rejected two requests to meet this week.
Mackay now expects the pair to finally sit down at the back end of this week to discuss a saga that has run for two and a half months and culminated in an email from Tan last Monday, in which the Malaysian multi-millionaire slammed the 41-year-old's management of the club and told him to resign or be sacked.
