Cardiff boss Dave Jones has admitted 'anyone would be interested' in Robbie Fowler, but has also played down speculation linking the former Liverpool striker with a move to Ninian Park.
He said: "If there are players available and we think that they would help us, then of course we're going to make enquiries.
"We make lots of enquiries. I was playing golf with Robbie on Monday through the Andy Gray and Gary McAllister cancer research programme.
"There was lots of other people there I was talking to but everybody assumes what they will do.
"If they are in, and they are here and signed, then I will talk about them.
"If Robbie was available and we could get anywhere near him and afford him, then of course he'd be a player that everybody would want.
"So we'll just have to wait and see what happens."
