Cardiff ace Bellamy: Moyes turned me off Everton

Cardiff City veteran Craig Bellamy admits he came close to signing for Everton.

In his autobiography GoodFella, serialised in the Daily Mirror, Bellamy reveals he met former Everton manager David Moyes at the Celtic Manor Hotel in 2005.

Bellamy sensed Moyes, now in charge of Manchester United, was looking for a way out and described it as 'bizarre' after he was presented with a list of rules that included not shaking his head if he was given an instruction during a game and speaking directly to the manager, rather than anyone else, if he had anything on his mind.

"I would have signed without that second meeting, but now I couldn't," he wrote. "I don't hold a grudge and have got a lot of time for him. My guess is someone told him I would be trouble, and he panicked."
