Gold Coast United dynamo Zenon Caravella says he's quitting for Adelaide United due to the club's uncertain future.

Caravella hopes the Gold Coast will be staying in the A-League, but the speculation over their future forced his hand.

''That is the question...it is difficult when there are question marks over the club,'' he told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

''But as far as I know now, they are all guns blazing for another two years so it is a positive sign for the club.

''When an opportunity comes around, sometimes you have to grab it with both hands because you never know what is around the corner.''
