Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has spoken highly of his opportunity to lead the club even if it was only in a friendly.
The Brazilian took the captain's armband for last night's 1-0 loss to Scottish champions Rangers and admits it was a great feeling despite the disappointing result.
"It was special for me. I am still young and haven't had the chance to be a captain," he told liverpoolfc.tv.
"Of course I would have liked another result to have a better record, but I am really proud to have been the captain.
"It means a lot to me at such a big club like Liverpool."
