Manchester City are safely through to the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup thanks to a 4-1 result over Hull City.
A second-half brace from Kevin De Bruyne added to earlier goals from Wilfried Bony and Kelechi Iheanacho as Manuel Pellegrini's side scored three late goals to flatter themselves at the Etihad Stadium.
Bony gave the Citizens an early lead in the 12th minute when he finished off De Bruyne's effort which had cannoned back off the post but it took almost 70 minutes for the home side to double their advantage over a plucky Tigers outfit.
Substitute Kelechi prodded home a nice cross from Raheem Sterling in the 80th minute to ease City's nerves before De Bruyne put the result beyond doubt when stealing in to slot home Andrew Robertson's mistimed header towards Hull keeper Eldin Jakupovic.
De Bruyne then helped himself to his ninth goal for the club with a quality dipping free-kick in the 87th minute before Robertson pulled one back for Steve Bruce's men when he played a beat one-two with Abel Hernandez before drinking over Willy Caballero in injury-time.
