England coach Fabio Capello would feel better about his World Cup chances if Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon wasn't a Scot.
Steve Banks reckons ENGLAND would love to have the £9million star as their No1.
The Englishman worked with Gordon at Hearts before he made his record-breaking switch to Sunderland. Now at Dundee United, Banks has seen his pal take the Premiership by storm.
Banks told the Scottish Sun: "I would imagine, if he'd been English, Craig would have had a fighting chance of playing at the World Cup.
"Robert Green has done well in the Premier League over a few years and David James is probably the wrong side of being his best now.
"For me, Joe Hart is England's best keeper but I'm not sure if he's ready to move into the team until after the World Cup.
"Craig is undoubtedly at that level and he's a fantastic keeper."
