Fabio Capello wants to keep hold of his England post.
The Daily Mail says Capello does want to continue as England manager.
He said as much in his closing World Cup press conference on Monday but he did not articulate that desire particularly well, his poor grasp of English leaving observers unsure of his motives when there is a potential £12million pay-off at stake.
Sources close to the Italian insisted last night that Capello is genuine about wanting to continue and has communicated as much to FA chairman Sir Dave Richards.
Capello was said to want "revenge" for what has happened at this World Cup, and is "more determined, more angry and more focused" than ever on putting it right.
