England boss Fabio Capello has ended the World Cup hopes of Tottenham captain Ledley King.
Due to long-standing knee problems King cannot train as regularly as his White Hart Lane team mates - and is sometimes restricted to just session a week.
And Capello says the 29-year-old's inability to participate in regular training sessions means he cannot afford to include him on the plane to South Africa next summer.
The England boss said: "It is impossible for him to stay with us. Sometimes he trains Friday to play Saturday."
