Fabio Capello is keen on the Tottenham job - but not until next summer. The Daily Star says he was at White Hart Lane on Sunday for the 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool that spelt the end of Andre Villas-Boas' reign.
The Italian, 67, is currently in charge of Russia, who have qualified for the World Cup.
But his contract with them is up in the summer, as he has NOT signed the new contract on offer, which would take him through to the 2018 World Cup.
Sources close to Capello indicated yesterday he is keen on a return to London - where he still has a home - and the chance to link up again with his former England No.2 Franco Baldini, who is Spurs' technical director.
It is understood Capello - who was working for Fox Sports during the Liverpool match - let the north Londoners know he wants to take Russia to Brazil next summer.
He said he was not interested in a job share similar to the one Guus Hiddink did, also when he was Russia boss, with Chelsea in the second half of the 2009-10 season.
Capello would remain committed to the Russians until after the World Cup, when he would switch to Spurs full time.
