Capello seeks Tottenham talks over King fitness

England boss Fabio Capello is turning to Tottenham defender Ledley King over World Cup injury concerns.

The Daily Mail says in light of Rio Ferdinand's back injury and John Terry's poor form, the Tottenham defender is back in Capello's World Cup thoughts.

King's chronic knee problems mean he cannot play two games in quick succession and he does not train with the Spurs team.

But he could still play a vital role in the tournament as the manager juggles players to keep them fresh and avoid suspensions.

Capello must decide - in conjunction with Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp -whether it is feasible to take 29-year-old King to South Africa knowing he will not be available for every game.
