Capello satisfied after England victory

England boss Fabio Capello was satisfied with his team's routine 3-0 victory against Trinidad & Tobago.

Gareth Barry and a brace from Portsmouth striker Jermain Defoe settled the game for the visitors and Capello said: "We are satisfied.

"In the first half we played very well. We scored two good goals and played some good football. Trinidad and Tobago had no chances, which is important.

"We had a good concentration and the players did everything that I asked of them.

"It's not easy to finish the season, come on a long trip and play in the heat, but I'm very happy with them. We are making progress and getting better in every game."

Capello also gave England debuts to Dean Ashton, Joe Hart, Phil Jagielka and Stephen Warnock in the game as he continues to assess his selection options for the future.

Having been with the squad for a week, it has given him chance to look at everyone closely and he was pleased with the contributions from the new players.

"I was happy with them," he added. "We see them in training games, but this is different and they showed good concentration in the game as I have seen before."
