England boss Fabio Capello intends to hand LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham is 100th cap next month.

The Mail on Sunday says Capello will meet Beckham at Arsenal this week, with a view to making him England captain for the friendly against Switzerland next month.

If the new England manager considers Beckham sufficiently fit and believes their rapport is as strong as it was towards the end of their time together at Real Madrid, he will reward the LA Galaxy star with the skipper's armband for his 100th cap, granting him a fitting climax to his international career.
