England coach Fabio Capello plans to go with youth for his Euros squad.
Stars including Tottenham’s Kyle Walker, Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, Everton’s Jack Rodwell, Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge and a trio of Manchester United players, Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling and Tom Cleverley are expected to make the 23-man squad for next summer’s finals in Poland and the Ukraine.
A source close to Capello confirmed to the Sunday Mirror: “Fabio has already made up his mind to take the youngsters to Euro 2012. Despite success in qualifying, England are in a period of transition and Fabio has been extremely impressed by some of the young players coming through. Obviously form and injuries could alter his thinking but at present at least six youngsters will feature in his final squad.”
