England coach Fabio Capello plans to speak with Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney over his injury management.

Rooney is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with an ankle sprain.

"I will speak to him today or Thursday morning," said Capello. "I was not happy, but I'm not happy whenever any England players get injured.

"It is too early to say how badly he is injured. We need to wait for a scan."
