England boss Fabio Capello plans to start Liverpool striker Andy Carroll against Wales.
Carroll has only managed a couple of cameo roles so far since his record £35million move from Newcastle to Anfield because of the thigh injury that has dogged him for months.
However, Capello plans to use the big striker in the Euro 2012 qualifier if he comes through the Kop's next two games unscathed, says the Mirror.
The Italian will pick Carroll once he sees him start, either against Braga tonight in the Europa League or in the league game at Sunderland on Sunday.
