England coach Fabio Capello hopes to clear the air with Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand.
The Sunday Mirror says the England coach has been widely criticised for failing to inform Ferdinand he was reinstating John Terry as skipper in March.
Capello failed to schedule an official meeting with Ferdinand or inform him by telephone that he was relieving him of the duty of leading his country.
His attempts to justify his actions initially led to uneasy tension with Ferdinand, although sources close to the Manchester United defender claim he has moved on swiftly and isn't interested in getting involved in a public slanging match with the Italian coach.
However, the duo are set to meet up this week as the England squad assembles for Saturday's Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland at Wembley.
