Capello: Man Utd striker Rooney has more to offer than Kaka
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Mon, 03/01/2010 - 11:44
England boss Fabio Capello says Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is now among the world's best.
The England chief claims Rooney can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Lionel Messi, Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Capello said: "Rooney is one of the best players in the world now, the confidence is really there.
"Messi is about dribbling and imagination. Ronaldo is fast and shoots from distance - Rooney is a real centre-forward.
"The others play wide. Kaka has to arrive from midfield but Rooney presses. The others do that less.
"When I meet Marcello Lippi or Giovanni Trapattoni they all think he's one of the best in the world. They always ask me about Rooney."

I think Capello has d rite 2 say wat he's sayin...Rooney is an all- rounder..u'll find him everywher in d pitch.his contribution 2 his team made him stand tall in front of all d strikers. Didn't u see how d strikers come n fight 4 starting place bt he's always dere...he was much criticised 4 not scoring many goals, now he's scoring dem n playing wit much desire...all i gotta say s dat HE DESERVES MORE DAN DIS
some are just dreaming for rooney to get ballon d'er but just wait for the world cup...... becoz mostly award goes to a player from winning team and there's no way england to win world cup becoz they just know how to cheat on their teammates and break others leg........
MAY BE TRIBAL"SHIT"BALL FORGOT TO QUOTE WHERE CAPELLO STATED THAT "ROONEY
HAS MORE TO OFFER THAN KAKA". THE BOY IS DOING WELL IN MAN-U, AND ENDLAND'S
QUALIFIERS AND SUDDENLY HE HAS BECOME THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD. BUT THE
WORLD CUP IS THIS YEAR SO WE LIVE TO SEE WHETHER YOU TAKE A PLAYER BEYOND
HIS LEVEL BY HYPING HIM. TIME WILL TELL.
