Capello lays down law at England training this morning

England boss Fabio Capello warned his players he was the man in charge at this morning's training session.

The Mirror says barely 12 hours after Capello quelled any thoughts of a tactical rebellion by ordering his players to stay silent at their team meeting in the Royal Bafokeng Hotel, the Italian was master of the England universe again at the start of the squad's training session.

It is understood that senior players are keen to point out they have no quibbles with Capello and his methods, despite John Terry having made a public call for clear the air talks.

Terry's stance has perhaps left him out on a limb, although there were no obvious signs of that during what was an admittedly subdued opening session.

But Capello sent out a clear "I'm in charge" message as he called the players together for an intimate huddle at the start of training.

The players clearly listened intently, saying nothing as Capello spent two minutes spelling out what he wanted ahead of Wednesday's must-win game with Slovenia.
