Capello insists no Arsenal row over Wilshere selection

England boss Fabio Capello insists there's no rift with Arsenal over Jack Wilshere's U21 controversy.

Capello claimed the Wilshere row is over and there is no bitterness about it.

The Italian said: "Before the last game that Arsenal played at home, I spoke personally with Arsene (Wenger) who told me that Wilshere was tired and, because he'd played 50 games, he needed to go on holiday.

"He told me it's dangerous for a young player to play so many games for the future. I think he can play one game more without problems.

"Arsene didn't change my mind. Yes, I spoke with him but it was after he spoke with Stuart, directly that it was decided Wilshere would not go.

"But the game against Switzerland is just one more game. I'm not concerned at all for this game. In training he's been really good.

"All the players will play a lot of games, but he is really young. After 10 years of a career, it's more difficult to get over injury problems but I think he will recover quickly."
