England coach Fabio Capello has dismissed complaints over the treatment of his discarded World Cup players.
Capello hit back at a claim from Spurs boss Harry Redknapp that he had treated Michael Dawson and West Ham's Scott Parker like "ghosts", ignoring them and not giving them even a minute in the friendlies against Mexico or Japan.
The England boss said: "For me, all 30 players who stayed with me in Austria are really important.
"I know the value of these players because I chose them. Matthew Upson didn't play, but he's here. It was important to find out about the players as they trained together.
"It's not important what other managers think about the players I've chosen."
