England boss Fabio Capello has played down talk he recommended good friend Luiz Felipe Scolari to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

"I don't know if he will change Chelsea's style but every manager has to find a style which suits his players. You will have to ask Scolari whether he will change the way they will play," he said.

"I met him at Chelsea's game against Liverpool in the semi-final of the Champions League and we spoke, but I didn't tell him to come to England to manage.

"Nor did I recommend him to Roman Abramovich. I met Mr Abramovich after the Champions League Final in Moscow but we only talked about the match."
