England coach Fabio Capello hopes Arsenal select Jack Wilshere for their Champions League games against Barcelona.
Capello gave the teen a first England start in this week's friendly win over Denmark.
He said: "Wilshere is a very good player. He is young and has played a lot of games this season.
"I don't know what will happen in the next month but the games they play against Barcelona will be really strong and it will be really interesting.
"Denmark played a lot of passes and had possession but Barcelona are a little bit better.
"Wilshere has to learn and has to improve.
"But to play like he did in his first start for England, with that confidence, then I am really happy about his display. It is tough to find one player like him.
"He can play in the defensive position but it also depends on which position he plays with Arsenal, so I will follow a lot of the games he plays."
