Capello happy with improvement of Villa's Bent

England boss Fabio Capello feels Aston Villa striker Darren Bent has improved out of sight in the past few years.

The 26-year old enjoyed another consistent season in the Premier League, scoring 17 goals with both Sunderland and Aston Villa, following his 24 for the Black Cats the season before.

Ahead of tomorrow's Euro2012 qualifier against Switzerland at Wembley, Capello hopes Bent can reproduce his recent club form and add to his two goals in his past two outings for the Three Lions.

"I know him very well," he said.

"In the box, when he sees the ball, he scores goals. I hope on Saturday he will do the same.

"(In) my career as a manager, some players were not so good when they were 20, 21, 22, but after they improved.

"Sometimes it's important which team you play in, and the relationship with the manager, the private life. It's impossible to know the future.

"It's important for us that Bent has improved a lot and he is scoring a lot of goals."
