England boss Fabio Capello will travel to Tyneside this weekend to watch Newcastle United striker Michael Owen in action against Blackburn Rovers.

The last time Capello watched Owen - in the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal on August 30 - he was not impressed and left the striker out of his squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Croatia.

Now the former Liverpool and Real Madrid marksman faces a fresh make-or-break 'trial' as Capello is likely to be at another game when Newcastle travel to Everton on October 5, says The Sun.

And Owen's performance against Blackburn will decide whether or not he will feature in the Italian's plans for England against Kazakhstan and Belarus next month.
