Former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello says his old club have gaffed selling Mesut Ozil to Arsenal.

The German has been a revelation since his deadline day move.

"I think Özil has been a very important player for Madrid - a really top player, and they made a mistake in letting him go," Capello, the former England and Real Madrid manager, said. "I do not know what has happened there."
