Birmingham City managing director Karren Brady has revealed England boss Fabio Capello has been asking after Martin Taylor.

In her column for The Sun, Karren wrote: "Just when we are getting hints of relegation blues, up comes a crucial and well-deserved point at West Ham.

"Much excitement surrounded the fact that the new England manager was in the boardroom to watch the game. At half-time Capello's 'plus one' approached one of my directors to enquire the age of the 'commanding' centre-half. 'Matthew Upson?' my director replied, 'No,' he said. 'Martin Taylor'."
