England coach Fabio Capello admits he's messed up over his handling of the change of England captaincy.
Capello, preparing for today's massive clash with Wales, accepted he could have handled the return of Chelsea's John Terry as skipper in a better way.
And he also admitted he has yet to speak to Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, who did not meet with the Italian at Old Trafford during last week's Champions League clash with Marseille.
Capello said: "I could have done something different but it is history.
"Sometimes I regret what really happened. Maybe I made a mistake.
"I tried to meet Rio and it didn't happen. During the Marseille game. I waited for him in the directors' box just before the game started, but it didn't happen.
"I don't like to speak about the captaincy on the phone. I prefer to speak personally."
