The capacity of West Bromwich Albion's home venue, The Hawthorns, will be increased over the next three years.
The Sandwell site currently holds just over 26,000 but will be heightened to 30,000 as the Baggies look to the future.
"Our medium- to long-term plans include the extension of the Hawthorns to around a 30,000-seat capacity within the next three years regardless of divisional status," said club owner Jeremy Peace.
"We believe it is the right thing to do as we endeavour to move the club forward and pro-actively encourage the next generation of supporters to come to the Hawthorns."
