Former Real Madrid and Valencia goalkeeper Santiago Canizares believes Barcelona are suffering due to the absence of coach Tito Vilanova.
Barca are in crisis after consecutive El Clasico defeats and a loss in the Champions League to AC Milan.
"The fact that Tito is not there has logically created great confusion in the team, a great distrust," said Canizares. "Having a coach is a great tool for the players who seek someone to solve the situations in the game.
"That is what that has been lost and what any player would miss.
"In a crisis like this, before they had a coach who they could turn to and now they don't. A lot of damage is being done."
