The 38 year-old goalkeeper, who like Albelda and Miguel Angel Angulo, has been frozen out of Valencia's first team since the arrival of coach Ronald Koeman.

Canizares said: "I have this year and the next here and I can no longer wait. The problem I have, like Albelda and Angulo, is they (Valencia) do not want to take responsibility for their decision.

"They have never argued their case. I have asked publicly for an explanation, but have never received an answer, not from the coach, nor president Juan Soler. "We need to negotiate and resolve the contract, since it was Valencia which does not want me to play here, but we know that if two people do not agree, a judge has to intervene, but I would like to reach an understanding."
