AS Roma hero Vincent Candela insists his old club boast the best squad in Italy.

Roma sit 12 points behind leaders Juventus.

But Candela says: "Roma, in my opinion, have the strongest squad in the championship.

"I don't see sides of that level. Unfortunately, the Giallorossi have dropped points in the first half of the season and are behind in the table.

"I consider Juventus to be an excellent side, but a side who I believe to be fully within the reach of Roma."
