In an attempt to stop any difficult questions over boss Roy Hodgson's future, Liverpool cancelled his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday's FA Cup third-round clash at Manchester United. But to try and deflect further speculation Hodgson would be talking about the weekend game on the club's website and Liverpool's in-house television channel.
The former Fulham boss has arrived at the Reds Melwood training ground with some morning newspapers reporting he was about to be sacked following the 3-1 midweek defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
