Liverpool have announced the signing of Liam Millar to a professional contract.

The Canadian striker celebrated his 17th birthday on Tuesday by putting pen to a pro deal with the Reds.

Millar, who has represented Canada at U20 level, arrived at the Kirkby academy late last season and made an immediate impact this campaign with a hat-trick for Neil Critchley's U18 side in the opening game of 2016/17.
