Canadian youngster Attakora to re-sign with San Jose Earthquakes

San Jose Earthquakes have indicated that they will re-sign promising defender Nana Attakora.

The 22-year old joined the Quakes from Toronto FC in July and made just six appearances for the remainder of the 2011 MLS season but San Jose general manager John Doyle indicated that they will look to have him at Buck Shaw Stadium for the next campaign.

"We are looking to sign Nana Attakora and another center-back," said Doyle.

The news comes after the Quakes lost key defender Bobby Burling to incoming franchise Montreal Impact in Wednesday's Expansion Draft.
