Fraser Aird admits he is living his dream playing with Scottish giants Rangers.
The 17-year old Canadian attacker arrived in Glasgow two years ago to try and make a career for himself after he was discovered playing at club level in Ontario.
Aird's father Bill was born and raised in Glasgow meaning the youngster is eligible to represent both Canada and Scotland but for now he is simply focusing on forcing his way into Ally McCoist's 'Gers first team after making his debut in the Third Division last week and then starring in the League Cup against Motherwell on Wednesday night.
"I'm just keeping my options open to be honest," he said regarding his national team dilemma.
"I came to Scotland and after about two or three weeks the Scotland coaches were at our games because there are a lot of boys at Rangers who they were watching.
"They gave me a call and asked me to come and try out. I started one game and scored. I'm keeping my options open and if a phone call came we'd have to see. I'm not saying 'yes' or 'no' right now."
He added: "Getting the chance to play for the first team has been a dream.
"Hopefully I will get my chance again and take it with both hands."
