Canada set to appoint ex-Real Madrid, Villarreal boss Floro

Recent reports suggest that Benito Floro is set to be announced as the new Canada national team manager.

It has been widely reported that the 61-year old Spaniard will take the reins of the Canucks ahead of the CONCACAF Gold Cup which kicks off this Sunday.

Sportsnet.ca, among other media outlets, have confirmed that Floro, who has previously managed the likes of Real Madrid, Villarreal, Sporting Gijon, Vissel Kobe, Monterrey and Mallorca, will be unveiled on by the Canadian Soccer Association on Friday.
