Canada score late equaliser against Ecuador

The Canadian national team managed to give up a one-goal lead before finding a late leveler to draw 2-2 with Ecuador in an international friendly on Wednesday night.

Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Terry Dunfield netted his maiden international goal when he scored in the 23rd minute before Ecuadorian pair Christian 'Chucho' Benitez and Michael Arroyo scored in quick succession just after the hour-mark.

But the Canadians were able to leave Toronto's BMO Field, which hosted 14,356 fans, with a draw when Tosaint Ricketts blasted home from 30 yards in injury time.

They will now prepare for their opening CONCACAF Gold Cup match against USA in Detroit on June 7.
