South Africa-based football journalist Wright Mbongo offers a profile of the four Supersport United youth teamers currently trialling at Tottenham and discusses whether they can make it in England.
The four talented youngsters left South Africa a week ago in an attempt to win future contracts in England.
All four lads are still teenagers and they were accompanied to England by Supersport United academy Technical Manager Godfrey Mosoetsa, who has since reported that the boys are responding well to Tottenham's training methods since arriving in London.
The names of the players are Morne Nel, Denwin Farmer, Kabelo Seriba and Zama Rambuane. Spurs supporters and Premier League fans in general, I'm sure, would like to know a little more about these talented lads. DENWIN FARMER
Denwin Farmer, a left-sided centre-back who is only 17 years of age, has not pulled on a jersey in professional football. The only big tournament the defender played in was the 2013 Gauteng Future Champions Cup where he was part of the squad that was knocked out in the first round by AmaTuks FC.
I believe the time he will spend with Spurs will build him and encourage him to work hard. If he can fight his way into the first team of Supersport United when he returns home, then he can start dreaming of playing for the London club, but for now he must still improve. MORNE NEL
Morne Nel, the 18-year old midfielder is one of the future South African stars. This is the same player that was part of United's pre-season and his assist against another Premier League side, Manchester City, saw Supersport United beat the 2011/12 Champions 2-0 in July. He has the pace that I believe can help him win a contract at Tottenham. But a loan move to the Championship or League One will help him develop for Spurs in the next two seasons or so.
The attacking midfielder enjoyed a run of over 50 minutes coming from the bench when Tottenham U21s took on Ipswich Town in a friendly match just four days after he landed down in Britain. Spurs reserves ended up winning 2-1. KABILO SERIBO
Kabelo Seriba is the youngest of the group at only sixteen and he has represented South Africa's national team at under-17 level. The right-back has a lot to learn before thinking of a move abroad and he will gain confidence after training with Spurs. ZAMA RAMBUANE
The last one on the list is Zama Rambuane who is 18-years old and plays as a midfielder. The young, talented defensive midfielder is known to be influential in the middle of the park and it is believed that regular first team football will make him a player to watch in the near future.
A move for the versatile midfielder to the Premier League might look unlikely now, however, as I believe he still has some unfinished business in South African football.
