Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson has revealed Ivan Campo asked to be captain for tonight's UEFA Cup clash against Atletico Madrid.

Former Real Madrid star Campo is included in the squad after being omitted in the earlier rounds and Megson said: "I am sure Ivan is delighted to back in amongst it now and facing his Spanish mates.

"Mind you he wanted to be captain but I had to say no."
