Campbell seeks crunch talks with QPR boss Hughes

DJ Campbell is set for talks with QPR manager Mark Hughes over his future at Loftus Road.

The Fulham Chronicle says early indications are Hughes would like to keep Campbell as back-up, but the 30-year-old is only too aware time is running out to make a bigger impact in the top flight.

A source close to Campbell said: "In an ideal world, DJ would get a lot more chances next season with his injuries now behind him.

"But in football's world that's not how it works. No-one in his position wants to hang around a bench playing a bit part."
