Sol Campbell says Portsmouth's plans for new training facilities and a new stadium convinced him to pen a new two-year contract last week.
Campbell, who turns 33 next week, said: "I'm delighted to sign a new deal.
"It took a bit of time to sort out and there is always a lot of speculation when the transfer window is open but we have a talented squad of players and big plans for a new training ground. So I'm happy to stay."
