Former Notts County defender Sol Campbell admits he's keen on a move to Newcastle United.
He was freed from County after playing just one game, but they still hold his registration - although Campbell is hoping a Football League hearing in early December will allow him to join another club.
Newcastle boss Chris Hughton has already confirmed his desire to sign the 35-year-old.
"It [Newcastle] would be a great move for me," Campbell told Sky Sports News.
"But who knows - hopefully people will sort things behind the scenes and I will get going and play football, which is all I want to do."
Campbell is currently staying fit by training with Arsenal, who he is very thankful to.
"I am training at Arsenal and keeping fit, which is the main thing and that is fantastic," he continued.
"I needed to train somewhere, Arsene [Wenger] has done me a great favour and you can't do any better than Arsenal."
