Blackpool striker DJ Campbell is delighted with his decision to swap Leicester City for the Seasiders.
Ian Holloway broke Blackpool's transfer record by paying £1.25million for the 29-year-old on deadline day.
Campbell said: "The gaffer seems to find players like me, who just want the chance to prove themselves. I just think he recognises something in me that he has.
"Even when I was scraping a living and playing in non-league, I never stopped believing that I would get here one day. Even when I was on the dole, or working in a warehouse and earning 50 quid a week playing for Yeading and driving around in my girlfriend's Corsa.
"I've got a Jag now and I'm marrying my girlfriend this summer. I'd like to think that I'm the same person I was when she first met me despite having a standard of living that's a million miles away from where it was.
"To be honest, I wouldn't change anything for the world. If I had been on a YT scheme and become a young professional at a club then I probably wouldn't still be in the game because I think I'd have fallen by the wayside. Doing it the way I did meant I was hungry for it. I wanted to make it so badly."
