Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell admits it's been frustrating seeing several of his top teammates sold.
"It's hard when you've got a great chance and a great team and then economics comes in and changes the whole face of the club," he told The Times.
"You have a vision and then the vision gets shifted. Take four top players [Pedro Mendes, Lassana Diarra, Sulley Muntari and Jermain Defoe] out of any team and they will struggle. But it hurts because we had a great team and a great chance to really kick on."
