Camoranesi agent slams Juventus medical staff

The agent of Mauro Camoranesi has hit out at Juventus' medical staff over the midfielder's thigh complaint.

Camoranesi pulled up during last Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Bari and has now been diagnosed with a serious muscular tear which some say will keep him out until April.

"I think it's more likely that he will be back in March, but it's difficult to make assumptions right now. In any case, he is not worried about the World Cup, he'll be ready," said Sergio Fortunato on calciomercato.it.

It did not seem to be a particularly serious problem at first, but Fortunato reveals mistakes and delays that contributed to the injury.

"I am not a specialist, but I contacted some Argentine medics who are professionals in this sector and they told me in cases like this you need to suck out the blood to reduce the bruising.

"This was not done. They tried doing it 10 hours later, but it was far too late, as by that time the blood had coagulated. Mauro's leg was like an egg, it was visibly swollen and full, they should've removed the blood.

"I spoke to Mauro last night, he's feeling alright, albeit certainly a bit angry. He came off the bench with 10 minutes to go, Juventus were already losing and then he picked up this injury."
