The New England Revolution have announced the signing of Stephane Assengue Ombiogno, a forward from Cameroon.
He will occupy one of the team’s seven available international roster spots. Per MLS and club policy, terms of the deal were not released. He will join the team pending the receipt of his U.S. P-1 Visa.
Assengue Ombiogno, 19, comes to the Revolution from Daga Young Stars, a regional team in Western African country of Cameroon.
“Stephane is a young forward who we believe has potential to make a great impact on the Revolution,” Vice President of Player Personnel Michael Burns said. “We’re looking forward to his arrival after he obtains his Visa and helping him acclimate to MLS.”
